I think I'm finally starting to get somewhere


So it's been about two and a half months since I started running really regularly. Before that I was running but it was kind of on and off due to . . . a kid, weather, injury ext. I've gotten up to running an hour 3 or 4 times a week. Don't ask me how far I'm running. I have no idea. I'd guess well more then 5 k and somewhat less then 10. My first goal was just to be able to keep going for a decent amount of time, now I'm going to dedicate a day a week a shorter run where I'm really working on speed.

Anyway, I mentioned on Facebook but I know some of you are not on, I've finally officially hit 15 pounds of weight loss since when I started training a bit seriously. That still leave a LOT to loose to be honest but it's a start I'm proud of. I know the ultimate goal is not weight loss but my feeling on the matter is it will be a lot easier to run a marathon if I'm not having to lug all that extra along for the ride. I haven't managed to attract any cheering school children but more and more encouraging old people. Hope everyone else is feeling as positive about their training as I am right now.
