Germantown 5 Miler

Seems like I showed up the wrong race.  I skipped the Runamuck race that everyone else (living locally) ran in, and I showed up for the 5 miler which everyone else skipped.  It was a little too challenging to be really very fun but it was a good race.  I was ready for five miles although I was happy to see the finish line and that it was not a 10K yet. The 5 Miler was a small race (just under 200 runners) and very friendly.  Everyone seemed supportive to everyone else. The weather was great.  The course was reasonably flat with only a few slight slops.  It was a good experience and I am glad I went.  I think in general most of the people there were experienced runners.  Many of the people were wearing shirts form previous runs.  I suspect longer runs attract mostly experienced runners.  I would recommend the Germantown 5 miler for next year.
